Cattle & Cask Distillery

Cattle & Cask is owned and operated by Chris Vinton and Becky McGuire. From a young age, the two worked side by side working cattle – learning to balance grit with a good sense of humor. Today, building on the legacy their ancestors built, they lead with the belief that what the land gives us now holds lasting value for generations to come.

At Cattle & Cask, we’re not just making spirits – we’re building a legacy. Our distillery is the ultimate value-add of Nebraska’s agricultural roots, blending generations of farming and ranching with the bold spirit of craft distilling. Located in the heart of one of the world’s most productive agricultural regions, we bring together cattle, corn and community to create something truly unique.

We envision Cattle & Cask Distillery as a destination – a place where you can experience small-town Nebraska hospitality, sip on premium spirits and see firsthand how we turn the land into liquid. From the precision agriculture used to grow our corn to the innovative practices in our distillery, every element reflects our commitment to sustainability, quality and pride of place. And with one of Nebraska’s only woman distillers leading the charge, we’re pairing tradition with fresh perspective, bringing spirit craft to Nebraska corn with grit and grace.

Family Story & Legacy

We are fifth- and sixth-generation farmers and ranchers who believe in doing the hard work and doing it well. Our story is written in the fields we plant, the cattle we raise and the values we live by: faith, family, stewardship and a strong work ethic.

The land we call home, spanning the Sandhills to the fertile soil of Cuming County, has taken care of us because we’ve taken care of it. That legacy shapes how we see the future: not in quick wins, but in decisions that will matter for generations to come.

Cattle & Cask was born from that mindset. It’s our next step, our golden circle – uniting cattle, corn and spirits into one complete cycle of sustainability. We’re creating more than spirits. We’re crafting a living tribute to the land, the people and the story that brought us here.

Soil to Sip

From the seed in the ground to the sip in your glass – and the steak on your plate – we’re involved in every step. That’s what “soil to sip” means to us. It’s full-circle craftsmanship rooted in quality, sustainability and a fierce love of rural Nebraska.

We grow our own corn using high-performing seed bred for Nebraska’s climate, farm with precision to use fewer inputs and distill on-site using our own grain. We feed our cattle with distillers grains – completing the cycle with world-class beef and spirits that tell the story of the land they came from.

It’s not just about capturing the value – it’s about creating it. For our customers, our community and our kids. By keeping every step close to home, we’re building something you can taste, trust and be proud to support.
